DASA 2024 CounsellingDASA 2024 UG 2nd Allotment has been released on 12th July 2024. PG Allotment has been released on 11th July 2024. DASA (Direct Admission of Students Abroad) is a national level admission procedure conducted once in a year. National Institute of Technology, Calicut, India is the conducting authority of DASA. Admission is provided to candidates on the basis of SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test). Authority will offer admission in NITs, IIEST, IIITs, SPAs, Central University etc through DASA. DASA 2024 Counselling is conducted through online mode only. Counselling is one of the admission procedures conducted by authority to provide final admission to the qualified candidates. There are three rounds of seat allotment. 

In case if there are any seat remaining vacant then authority organize one spot round. Aspirants those are allotted seats in the round 1, 2 and 3 need to report at the allotted college or institutes at given date and time. 

After every round of counselling, applicants have to confirm their allotted seats. Counselling is organized in many rounds according to the seats available after each round. To get final admission in institute, candidates have to attend counselling sessions.

DASA 2024 Counselling Procedures

Candidates can check the various rounds which take place under counselling session

First Round:

Authority has released first round of seat allotment on 5th July 2024. After the release of first seat allotment, candidates have to confirm their seats within 2 or 3 days. 

Result of seat allotment is displayed on the website. After filling the choice of institute and course, candidates can get two options i.e., press accept and press decline. 

Second Round:

Seat allotment of second round is released on 11th July 2024. Candidates those does not get seat in the first round have to opt for “Accept and Upgrade”. 

Candidates those have accepted and upgrade in first round can get seat allotment in the second round. Same as first round, result is released on the website of DASA. 

Third Round: 

Only those applicants are eligible for seat allotment in the third round who were not allotted a seat in the second round. 

To apply for third round, candidates have to opt for Accept and Upgrade in the second round. Result of third seat allotment can be released on the website of DASA. 

Final Round:

After releasing third round seat allotment, if seats are vacant in any affiliated institute then the authority release the final round of seat allotment. 

If candidates are not interested in getting seats in the final round then are allowed to ask for any refund. Final round seat allotment will be released on 23rd July 2024. 

Documents Required for DASA 2024 Counselling 

Check all the documents that required for DASA Counselling 2024:

  • Passport of candidates 
  • Date of birth certificate
  • 10th and 12th marksheet and pass certificate 
  • Transfer certificate
  • School leaving certificate
  • Proof of 2 years of education in a foreign country (For NRI applicants) 
  • Proof of Residential Eligibility in case of PG course (For NRI applicants) 
  • JEE Main/GMAT scorecard 

DASA 2024 Cut Off

DASA 2024 Cut Off will be released soon before the announcement of result. Cut off are the minimum qualifying marks that every candidate will need to secure in the qualifying exam. Candidates will be offered admission on the basis of ranks and their performance. 

Cut off list will be released through online mode on the website of DASA. Candidates will be able to check the opening rank and closing rank of different rounds. It will be prepared by the authority based on different parameters such as seats availability, difficulty level of exam etc. 

DASA 2024 Seat Reservation

DASA 2024 Seat Reservation will be prepared by the authority. It will be released through online mode. Out of 15% of the supernumerary quota of DASA 5% supernumerary seats will be reserved for Children of Indian Workers in Gulf (CIWG). 

Applicants those will get admission in NIT or any other institute will have to pay the tuition fee of INR 1,25,000 per annum. CIWG aspirants will have to pay the tuition fee at the same level as Indian students at the particular institute. 

DASA 2024 Seat Allotment and Admission 

DASA 2024 Seat allotment is released by the authority to allocate seats to the shortlisted candidates. Aspirants can get admission on the basis of ranks and qualifying marks. There are four rounds conducted of DASA UG Seat Allotment. 

In case if any candidates does not get seat in the first round of seat allotment then they can apply for the second. After getting a seat allotment letter, applicants have to report at allotted institutes to confirm their admission.  

What After DASA 2024 Seat Allotment?

Here we have provided some options given after the DASA Seat Allotment 2024: 

  • Accept: Candidates need to press this tab “Accept” if they are accepting the allotted institute/course. Provision admission letter is generated after accepting the seat allotment. 
  • Accept and Upgrade: This option is considered when candidates are accepting the currently allotted seats but want to upgrade the institute and course. 
  • Decline: Select this tab, if applicants do not wish to accept the allotted institute or course then the seat cancellation letter are generated on the same website.
