MEPCO Schlenk Engineering College is a private, self financed, autonomous and one of the reputed engineering college established in the year 1984. College was started with an aim to provide the technical education to the young generation of the country and run by Mepco schlenk Charities, a social welfare organization of the Metal Powder Company. College was affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University and now it is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. UGC has confirm this college as autonomous status in the academic year 2013-14. College was selected by the Indian society for technical education for prestigious Bharatiya Vidhya Bhawan National Award for having the best overall performance in the year 1998 and 2005. Five under graduate courses have been awarded with grade ‘A’ and accredited by NBA- National Board of Accreditation. College is approved by AICTE- All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi. College has been selected as an Center of Relevance and Excellence (CORE) in industrial safety and was inaugurated by bharat ratna Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam.
