Kalpi Institute of Technology, Ambala

Kalpi Institute of Technology (KIT) was established in the year 2008 as a private and self-financed institution, set up by the Om Shri Thakur Ji Educational Society. The KIT is affiliated to the Kurukshetra University and Directorate of Technical Education and State Government of Haryana. The KIT is approved by the MHRD and AICTE, New Delhi. The KIT is an ISO 9001:2008 certified institution.

Campus:

The KIT campus is situated just on the Ambala – Jagadhari National Highway-73 at near Kalpi Air Force Station in Village Kalpi in Ambala District of Haryana. The KIT campus is spread over in 10 acres of land.

Programmes:

At present, the KIT campus is offering the B.Tech course in five disciplines and diploma course in four disciplines of engineering & technology, and MBA course in four disciplines of management study.

Students and Faculty:

At present, the KIT is offering total 570 seats for admission in all programmes. The KIT has 30 faculty members in all departments.

Facilities:

The KIT has established an Entrepreneurship Development Cell to give the support to the students in various aspects. The classrooms, drawing hall, workshop, library and six engineering labs are the central facilities of the campus. The campus is also providing the book bank, cafeteria, transport, medical care, security and separate boy’s and girl’s hostel.

Activities:

The KIT campus is an active member of the Society for Promoting Indian Classic Music and Culture Amongst Youth (SPICMCA). The KIT organizes various cultural and social activities. The Campus has a women empower cell to promote the states and moral of the girls.

Placement:

The placement cell of the KIT is arranging the internship, industrial visits, workshop and guest lecture. The cell also conducts various development programmes like group discussion, pre-placement talk and mock interviews, and finally provides the job placement. In the last year the KIT has recorded the 100% placement of the MBA students and 60% of the Engineering students.
