JK Institute of Applied Physics & Technology, Allahabad

JK Institute of Applied Physics & Technology (JKIAPT) is the faculty of electronics and communication of the Allahabad University. The foundation of this department was laid by Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru in the year 1949 and was established by him in the year 1956.The department as an institute is affiliated to Allahabad University. The campus is approved by AICTE and MHRD, New Delhi. It is recognized by the Board of Technical Education, State Govt. of UP.

Campus:

The institute is situated in the vast landscape of the campus of Allahabad University at State Highway-9 in Allahabad city the district of UP. It is located in the most popular pilgrim place and the land of the Maha Kumbh. It is 3 km away from the Prayag Railway Station and 8 Km from the Allahabad Railway Station. The campus is very well connected by air, roads and rail. The sprawling and lush green campus is located in the well developed landscape.

Programmes:

The institution offers 2 B.Tech, 1 M.Tech, 1 M.CS and 1 B.Sc programmes in the field of engineering and technology. The faculty is a centre of excellence for DRDO, Ministry of Defence (Government of India).

Faculty & Staff:

The institution has a team of 22 faculty members and 42 technical and non-technical employees. The institution provides the best in the field of engineering and technology.

Facilities:

The faculty has a state of the art infrastructure. It provides the facility of labs, library, cafeteria, auditorium and the other common for whole university campus as per the regulatory norms.

The training and placement cell of this faculty is the central cell of the campus with best record which conducts campus interviews and industrial & summer trainings.

The campus organizes the annual sports, alumni meet, annual fests and various personality development and the curricular programmes. The campus strictly banned the ragging activities.
