There are various universities and college which admit students on the basis of self entrance exams and also on the basis of board percentage. BA (honours) is also a good option, you can later pursue PG and then go for UGC NET and make your career as a Lecturer in govt colleges/universities.
Is it necessary to pursue PG right after my UG if i do English Honours……what if i do a 1 yr librarian course after my BA,get a job and the pursue my MA.

No, its not mandatory ipsita, you can do it after a gap, librarian course will be a good option, and yes you can pursue you MA while doing a job. There are many other profession but they will be somewhat differnt from your field like Banking, fashion designing, computer related courses, foreign languages, hotel management, law and so on.
