Xavier Institute of Social Service, Ranchi

Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi was founded in the year of 1955 at St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi. It is an autonomous institution with an approval of All Indian Council of Technical Education. In the year 1973, this institution was registered as an educational society under the Socieites Registration Act, 1960.

Campus

The campus of this institution is located on Purulia Road, Ranchi district of Jharkhand state. The campus is well equipped with all the modern facilities which provide students a perfect ambience for their studies. The campus houses an administrative block, student block, library, playground, auditorium, etc.

Facilities

This institution houses a library stocked with more than 45000 volumes of books along with Encyclopedias, Almanacs, Journals and Magazines. It also has subscribed to over 150 periodicals. Well-furnished and fully air-conditioned auditorium is also provided to organize seminars, cultural and other functions. It also offers accommodation facilities for boys as well as girls. It has a state of the art computer lab and resource centre with LAN facility. Other facilities include Wi-Fi enabled campus, conference room, well-furnished classrooms, etc.
