Velammal Engineering College (VEC), Chennai is the first private engineering institution that receives ISO 9001:2000 certification from NBA. It was established in the year 1995 and offers the AICTE approved courses. This private institution has the affiliation from Anna University, Chennai of Tamil Nadu state. The aim of the college is to impart the technical and professional education and makes the students ready for the corporate world.

Campus

The campus of the college covers the area of 75 acres of land consists of functional administrative block, academic building, library, placement cell and hostels. The location of the campus is at Velammal Nagar, Ambattur-Red Hills Road, Chennai.
