Utkal University, Bhubaneswar

The Utkal University was established in the year 1943. The University is approved by UGC. It is a teaching-cum- affiliating University. There are at present twenty-seven Post-Graduate Departments located in the University Campus for Post-Graduate studies and research in various disciplines of science, humanities, social science, law and Commerce and business administration.

Campus

The campus is located at the heart of Bhubaneswar city and right on NH-5. It is nearly five km from both the main railway station at Master Canteen and bus stand at Baramunda. All the law colleges and post graduate departments are inside the campus.

Facilities

The university provides all the facilities to the students such as hostel facilities, guest house, computer center with the latest hardware and software facilities, well facilitated conference room, auditorium, conference room, transportation facility, medical facility. Besides this other recreational facilities like cafeteria, sports facility, and gymnasium are also provided.

Programmes

The University provides full two year MBA programme in Financial Management formely known as MFC. The two year course is followed by the internship project. The course is divided in four semesters with the duration of two years.

Placement

The Utkal University placement cell arranges employment opportunities for the students persuing studies in different Post Graduate Programmes in the University. The placement cell develops networks with leading corporate houses. The placement cell organizes campus recruitment drive for eligible candidates. It also conducts pre- placement workshops and industry interaction programmes. The following recruiters have come for the campus placement Infosys, Accenture, Apollo Hospitals, R Systems, FCS Software, Tata Consultancy Services, Kalinga Soft, Hindustan Zinc Ltd, Genpact, Mahindra Finance, IBM Daksh etc.
