University of Mysore, Mysore was founded on 27th July, 1916. It is a public university which got approval from the University Grants Commission (UGC). The University is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The University has a four constituent colleges & 196 affiliated colleges. All the law courses are recognized by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi.
Campus
The campus of the University is situated Crawford Hall, Mysore, Karnataka. Mysore is the cultural centre of Karnataka. The city is well-linked by the road, rail & air transportation facility. The college campus is spread over 350 acres of land. The campus is about 6 kms away from the Central Bus Station and 3 kms away from the City Railway Station.
Facilities
The University provides facilities of separate hostel accommodation for Men’s & Women’s. The University library is well-stocked with the rich collection of books, textbooks, reference books, periodicals and journal back volumes. The library also enables access to e-journals, e-books and online public access catalogue. The University offers various facilities such as an auditorium, printing press, banking, ATM, cafeteria, health centers, post offices, sports, transport, etc. There is a well-maintained & spacious classroom with the facility of LCD Projector & audio-visual aids.
Programmes
University of Mysore, Faculty of Law imparts five years integrated Bachelor of Arts & Bachelor of Laws (BA LLB), two years Master of Laws (LLM) & M.Phill in Law. The University also runs PG Diploma in Human Rights & Duties Education, Intellectual Property Rights and Information Technology Law.

Admission
Students who want to pursue five years BA LLB programme, they have to pass their higher secondary or equivalent examination from a recognized board. Those students seek admission into the LLM programme, they have to qualify three/five years LLB degree. Students must have to secure at least minimum 45% marks for the General category in the qualifying examination. There is a 5% relaxation in qualifying marks for SC/ST category. The admission into BA LLB & LLM programme on the basis of the entrance exam conducted by the university.
