University Institute of Engineering & Technology (UIET) is an engineering department of Panjab University located in Chandigarh. The engineering and technology institute of Panjab University was established in the year 2002, with the funds raised from central government, for improving the infrastructure and facilities provided to the engineering student. The UIET is a part of Panjab University hence, it is affiliated to Panjab University and approved by AICTE New Delhi.

Campus:

UIET is located in the southern campus of the Panjab University in sector 25 Chandigarh. The college campus has lush green surroundings, and has two academic blocks, ATM, Wi-Fi, hostel facility is available within the campus.

Programmes:

Facilities:

The college has good infrastructure, well equipped labs and workshops, spacious and well ventilated classrooms, central library with large volumes of books and journals, Wi-Fi facility in some part of the campus. The other facilities provided by the college include seminar halls, ATM facility, hostel facility etc.

Staff and Students:

The college employs more than 100 well qualified teaching staff, having good experience in teaching and research work. The number of students studying in the college are more than 2000.

Activities:

There are various students committees in the college. The official student committee of the institute is known as ‘UTECHNOS’. The college also organizes various cultural and technical fest, and the students actively participate, in the various events organized by the college.

Placement:

The training and placement department of UIET conducts placements and invite many renowned companies with the assistance of staff and students. The placement department makes arrangement for the pre-placement talks, personality development programmes for the students etc.
