University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad
The University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad was established on October 1, 1986. University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad is a state agriculture university established by the Government of Karnataka which imparts education, research and extension activities in the fields of agriculture, forestry, food science, agriculture marketing and home science. The university is an autonomous university accredited by ICAR & UGC.
Campus
The University has 5 Colleges, 30 Research Stations, 6 Extension Education Units, 5 Krishi Vigyan Kendras and ATIC. Greater diversity exists in soil types, climate, topography cropping and farming situations. It is on Dharwad-Belgaum road (P.B-4) on a campus with space for growing trees and fields for conducting experiments and research. The university has constituent colleges at places of Karnataka state.
Facilities
The University The institution has well-furnished spacious classrooms with modern teaching aids. The computer department of the university is equipped with adequate no. of computers and with & modern latest technologies. The teaching aids used by the faculty are slide projectors, PA systems, Over- head projectors (OHP), and other On-Line information systems. The university has its own central library enriched with collections of text books, journals, periodicals, news paper, magazines, competitive exam books and many more.

Graduates are appointed as agriculture scientists, agriculture officers in state and central governments, banks and other financial institutions such as insurance companies. The mission and Endeavor of the placement cell of the university is to enhance and facilitate the process of gainful employment. It conducts the job fairs and industrial tours every year. The cell conducts the on-campus and off-campus placement.
