Thanthai Roever Institute of Agriculture and Rural Development (TRIARD), Perambalur
Thanthai Roever College is an educational Institution run by St. John Sangam Trust. Thanthai Roever Institute of Agriculture and Rural Development (TRIARD), is one of the Roever Group of Educational Institution was started to offer diploma and degree courses in agriculture field. The college started functioning in 1994 with single course later on other degree courses are added. It is approved by ICAR and affiliated to TNAU, Coimbatore.
Campus
The College has an area of 51.97 hectares (128.4 acres) for the practical training of the degree and diploma students. The college has well-established infrastructure with various facilities. It has land for farming in Elambalur (75 acres) and Nerkuam (60 acres). The campus infrastructure includes academic buildings, playgrounds, hostel, dairy, piggery and poultry units, orchard and horticultural crops, agro forestry, wetlands, gardens land, etc.
Facilities
The College has various facilities for the student’s practical and theoretical knowledge with other facilities. It includes facilities such as library in which large sets of books are available for all departments, language lab, hostel, computer education, cafeteria, transportation, financial assistance, and insurance, NSS, NCC, cultural, sports and many others.
Programmes
The Thanthai Roever Institute of Agriculture and Rural Development offer degree courses in agriculture. It offered diploma and undergraduate degree course. The diploma course is two years and that of Bachelor degree is of four years. The college also provides reservation for the SC/ST and others. The degree courses offered by the college are:
- Diploma in agriculture
- Diploma in horticulture
- B.Sc in agriculture
Placement
The College conducts the various programs under training & placement cell service. The cell enhances the employability through technology. It arranges the campus interviews of various organizations for final/pre-final year students for their recruitments. Students are placed for In-Plant Training through Training & Placement Cell. It also arranges the guest lecturers of Eminent Personalities from Industry for career counseling.
