Tamil Nadu National Law School, Tiruchirappalli

Tamil Nadu National Law School (TNNLS), Tiruchirappalli came into existence on 13 February 2012. The foundation stone of the school was laid by the Dr. J Jayalalithaa, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. It is a public university that is approved by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi. All law courses are approved by the Bar Council of India.

Campus

The school campus is located in the Tiruchirppalli – Dindigul National Highway – 45, Navalurkuttappattu, Tiruchirappalli. The school has a sprawling campus that is spread over 25 acres of land. The campus is situated just 9.6 km away from the Tiruchirappalli Railway Junction, Navalurkuttappattu.

Facilities

There is a well-established library with a huge collection of books, journals, e-resource, periodicals, reports, projects, etc, related to law. The school offers the facility of auditorium, games and sports, canteen, health care centre, Wi-Fi Facility, bank, moot court halls, gym, examination hall, staff quarters as well as a guest house, etc. The School conducts regular visits to the Sessions & District Court & Sub-ordinate Courts to improve the student’s advocacy skills. The classrooms are well-equipped with the modern audio-visual aid facility for interactive learning.

Programmes

Tamil Nadu National Law School, Tiruchirappalli offers five years integrated Bachelor of Arts & Bachelor of Law (BA LLB (Hons.)) & Bachelor of Commerce & Bachelor of Law (B.Com LLB (Hons.)). There are 100 seats available for BA LLB (Hons.) & B.Com LLB (Hons.).

Admission

The admission into BA LLB (Hons.) & B.Com LLB (Hons.) programme on the basis of Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). Students have to complete higher secondary [10+2]/CBSE/other examination recognized as equivalent thereto. They have to obtain at least 45% marks (40% marks in the case of SC/ST category) in aggregate. There is no upper age limit to apply for these courses.
