Swami Vivekananda Institute of Technology (SVIT) is a private and self-financing institution. SVIT has been started in the year 2004. The SVIT was established under the aegis of Mahbub College which was established in the year 1862. The SVIT is affiliated to the JNTUH and approved by the AICTE.

Campus:

The SVIT is located in the Mahbub College Campus over 5 acres of land in Patny at Secunderabad Town of District Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. The campus is in the heart of the Hyderabad City.

For the current academic year, the SVIT is offering the admission over 600 seats as the annual intake in all courses. The SVIT has more than 115 faculty members from all departments.

The SVIT has 37 classrooms, 4 computer labs, 2 seminar halls with seating capacity of 100, 52 laboratories, an auditorium with seating capacity of 200, a library with seating capacity of 120 and containing over 25000 books, a computer centre with 360 systems, and guest house.

Activities:

The SVIT organizes the sports, literary, cultural, technical and social activities. The students are encouraged to participate in various co-curricular activities organized by the college or other university colleges.
