Sureswar Datta Law college (SDLC), Howrah is the educational institution established in the year 2013 and running under the aegis of Sureswar Dutta Law College Trust. The college is named after the renowned lawyer Sureswar Dutta who is also a philanthropist, educationalist, nationalist, social and political activist. The college has the permanent affiliation from University of Calcutta and approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI), New Delhi.

The location of the Sureswar Datta Law college is at Mourigram, near IOC Gate, around 6 km away on Andul Road from cable bridge, the Vidyasagar Setu, joining Kolkata and Howrah. Admission
Students who have completed intermediate examination with 45% marks are eligible to apply for B.A.LL.B programme offered by the college. Admission to this course will be offered on the basis of entrance examination conducted by the Calcutta University. Merit list will be prepared as per the candidate’s performance in entrance examination.
