St. Joseph Engineering College, Mangalore
St. Joseph Engineering College is a private, self-financed, co-ed and minority institution (Catholic Christen) in Karnataka. The SJEC was incepted in the year 2002 as a unit of Catholic Diocese of Mangalore. It is the only Catholic Engineering institution in Karnataka. The college is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University and approved by the AICTE and four UG engineering courses are accredited by the NBA. The college is recognized by the government of Karnataka.
Campus
The campus of SJEC is located in the Vamanjoor 10 km East of the Mangalore city. The campus is spread over 25 acres of land adjacent to the national highway-13 (Sholapur – Mangalore) towards Moodbidri via Kulshekar in the rural area of the city. The campus is well-accessible by the roads and rail and just 3 km from the nearest railway station.
Facilities
The campus has well-established administrative and academic block with so many modern and latest facilities like separate hostel for boys and girls, well-equipped laboratories, network enabled computer lab, huge and rich library, workshops, canteen, seminar hall, conference hall, sports facility and transportation.
Programmes
The campus is providing the B.Tech UG engineering programme in five disciplines of engineering, master of technology (M.Tech) in four disciplines of engineering, MBA in three specializations of managament, MCA and various research programmes in offered fields.
