St John’s Medical College, Bangalore
St John’s Medical College, Bangalore was started on 1963 by St John’s, the catholic Bishop’s Conference of India. The college offers various UG, PG, diploma and super specialty degrees recognized by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, Karnataka. The medical college has the approval from Medical Council of India (MCI), New Delhi.
Campus
The campus of St John’s Medical College is situated in the capital city of Karnataka, i.e., Bangalore. It is located on Sarjapur Road, opposite to BDA Complex, Bengaluru. The sprawling campus of the college covers the land area of 140 acres and also houses the hospital in its campus premises.
Facilities
The college offers clinical as well as all general facilities to the students. It provides residential facilities to students and staff members. The college houses four blocks of student’s hostel. It also has an attached hospital that provides medical facilities as well as acts as a teaching hospital for medical students. The well-maintained laboratories of different departments is available for conducting practicals. The college has well-established canteen, mess, cafeteria and an exclusive library that houses a rich collection of books, references, journals, etc.
Programmes
St John’s Medical College, Bangalore offers the graduate degree in MBBS programme. The duration of this course is 4 and a half years plus one year of internship/training. In addition to this, the college also awards MD/MS degree in various disciplines.
