Sophia Homoeopathic Medical College, Gwalior
Sophia Homoeopathic Medical College was founded in the year of 2002 under the leadership of Mrs. Manjeet Bhalla. This college is affiliated with Jiwaji University, Gwalior and approved by Centre Council of Homoeopathy (CCH), New Delhi, Medical Education & Higher Education and the Government of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal.
Campus
The college has a well-maintained campus located on Madhavrao Scindia Road, Mahalgaon, Gwalior. Gwalior is the district of Madhya Pradesh state and it is situated in northern Madhya Pradesh 300 km away from Delhi. The campus comprises of main building with academic and students block.
Facilities
This college provides 25 bedded hospital & satellite OPDs facility. This college has various well-equipped laboratories for all the departments. It has ample of classrooms which are equipped with all the necessary teaching aids. It also arranges medical camps in the city and surrounding remote areas. It houses a spacious library which has a rich collection of books, reports, periodicals, journals, magazines, newspapers, etc. Other facility comprises of advanced computer center equipped with latest configurations, well-maintained cafeteria, medical facility, transport facility, sports facility, etc.
Programmes
Sophia Homoeopathic Medical College offers an undergraduate degree course BHMS (Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery). It is a five and half year course including one year of compulsory internship. This college intake admission of 100 BHMS students per year. For admission to BHMS course, candidates must have passed 12th examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.
