Snehangshu Kanta Acharya Institute of Law (SKAIL), Nadia was set up by the Sikkim Bengal Educational Trust (SBET) on 30th June 2004. The Institution is affiliated to the University of Kalyani & approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi.
Campus
The college is located in Kalyani University Campus, Kalyani, Nadia, West Bengal. Kalyani is a town that is situated in the outskirts of Kolkata city in the Nadia district of West Bengal. The college campus is spread over 60,000 Sq.ft. of land.
Facilities
The college has a well-maintained & well-equipped library with a good number of national & international journals, various periodical subscriptions, federal and regional reporters, books, and several online databases. There is separate hostel accommodation for both boys & girls with 24 hours security & mess facility. The college also offers the facilities of spacious classrooms, canteen, computer lab, medical care center, seminar hall, conference hall, Students Court room, etc.
Programmes
Snehangshu Kanta Acharya Institute of Law, Nadia runs 5-year integrated degree programme, i.e. Bachelor of Arts & Bachelor of Law (BA LLB (Hons.)). The total number of seats available for BA LLB (Hons.) degree course is 120. The Institution will introduce the LLM degree programme and Ph.D degree programme in near future.

Admission
Student has to pass the Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examinations & obtain minimum 45% (General Category) or 40% (SC/ST and OBC Category) in aggregate. Student age should not be more than 20 years as on 1st July of the admission year. There is one year age relaxation for SC/ST students. Students will get direct admission into BA LLB (Hons.) programme. The admission will strictly on the basis of the marks obtained by the student in the qualifying examination.
