SMS Medical College, Jaipur

Sawai Man Singh Medical College popularly known as SMS Medical College was set up in the year 1947 and located in Jaipur. It is the Medical Council of India (MCI), New Delhi recognized college and is affiliated to the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur. The college has 32 departments and 6 hospitals are attached to this college.

Campus

The college has the sprawling campus situated in Jawaharlal Nehru Marg, Gangawal Park, Jaipur which is the capital city of the Indian state Rajasthan. The campus is surrounded by greenaries and provides pollution free environment.

Facilities

The institution is well-facilitated with ultramodern infrastructural facilities. It has 6 attached hospitals that provides clinical facilities. These hospitals also works as a teaching hospital for medical students. The lecture theatres equipped with latest audio-video aids and provides creative learning. The college has three boys and one girls hostel. It has an extensive library accommodating medical books of all departments. Sports facility is also available for the physical development of the students.

Programmes

SMS Medical College, Jaipur regulates the undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and nursing courses in its institution. In addition to this, it also runs PhD courses. It provides postgraduate medical education in MD/MS and is available in various disciplines. The MBBS course offers by the college has the duration of 4 and a half years with one year of rotatory internship. The degree will be awarded on the successful completion of the course along with internship.
