Shivalik Institute of Engineering and Technology, Ambala

Shivalik Institute of Engineering and Technology (SIET) is a private, self-financing, co-ed, and non-minority institution, was established in the year 2007. The SIET is affiliated to the Kurukshetra University and approved by the MHRD and AICTE, New Delhi and DTE, Haryana.

Campus:

The SIET is located on the campus of Shivalik Group of Institutions (SGI) with two more colleges named Shivalik College of Education and Shivalik Polytechnic. The campus is spread over in 35 acres of land. The SGI campus is situated on the Dosarka – Sadhaura State Highway-5 off to the National Highway-73 in Village Aliyaspur at Post Sarawan in Ambala District of Haryana State.

Programmes:

The SIET is offering the five B.Tech programmes and one M.Tech programme in engineering field and one MBA programme in three disciplines of management study. The Shivalik Polytechnic offers the diploma programme in five branches of engineering and the college of education offers the B.Ed and D.Ed programme in the field of education.

Students & Faculty:

The SGI is offering 1078 seats as annual intake for admission out in all three colleges as 408 seats in SIET, 250 seats in SCE and 420 seats in polytechnic. The SGI campus has more than 70 faculty members in all programmes of the all three colleges.

Facilities:

The SGI campus is enabled with wi-fi and providing the facility of the library, equipped laboratories, canteen, cafeteria, transport facility and separate hostel for the boys and girls. The campus provides the scholarship to the meritorious students.

Activities:

Apart from the academic education, the SGI celebrates the annual fest named AEON, annual meets and fresher’s party. The SGI conducts the sports event, science fair, blood donation, and engineer’s day and spiritual programmes.

Placement:

The campus has a training & placement department for providing the best job opportunity to the students through conducting the job fair, trainings, industrial visits, personality development programme and career counselling.
