Shankersinh Vaghela Bapu Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar

Shankersinh Vaghela Bapu Institute of Technology (SVBIT) is a private and self-financed institution set up by the Shankersinh Vaghela Bapu Charitable Trust. The institute has been established in the year 2009. The SVBIT is affiliated to the Gujarat Technological University and approved by the state directorate of technical education, AICTE and Ministry of HRD and government of Gujarat.

Campus:

The SVBIT institution is placed in the educational hub named “Bapu Gujarat Knowledge Village” with another one institution named Shankersinh Vaghela Bapu Institute of Pharmacy (SVBIP), which is approved by the PCI. Both institutions are situated in one campus which is spread over in 40 acres of land. The campus is sited on the Gandhi Nagar – Mansa State Highway-71 at Post Vasan in District Gandhi Nagar, State Gujarat. The campus is located at the 7 km from Gandhi Nagar and 50 km from the Ahmedabad Railway Station.

Programmes:

The SVBIT is conducting the bachelor degree programme in six engineering branches and the SVBIP is conducting the one B.Pharm course and M.Pharm in two specializations of Pharmacy.

Students & Faculty:

The campus has a total of 636 students as the annual intake in all departments of the both institutions. The campus has a team of 124 faculty members from all departments of SVBIT and 14 faculty members of SVBIP.

Facilities:

The campus has a central library with more than 15000 volumes of books, transport facility, canteen, separate hostel for boys & girls, guest house, extension counter of Punjab National Bank, medical centre, seminal hall, conference hall and sports facility. The campus provides the awards to the meritorious students of UG and PG.

Activities:

Apart from the academic education, the campus organizes various cultural, social and literary activities for overall development of the students. The campus participates in inter-colleges and inter-universities events, quizzes and sports competitions.

Placement:

The campus has developed the strong linkages with industries through the III Cell. The Institute Industry Interaction Cell provides the career counselling, industrial visits and providing the internship training for best job placement.
