Satpura College For Law, Chhindwara
Satpura College For Law, Chhindwara was opened in the year of 1962 under the auspices of Satpura Society, Chhindwara. The college got affiliation to the Dr. Hari Singh Gour University & approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi. It is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with ‘B+’ grade.
Campus
The college campus is situated in Aundh – Ravet Road, Tathawade, near Hinjewadi IT Park, Chhindwara. The college campus is spread over 2 acres of land. The college is easily accessible with the road transportation.
Facilities
The college has moot-court room for hosting the moot court competition & to conduct the internal moots. The seminar hall is well-equipped with projector & audio-visual aids facility to conduct deliberations, academic discussions and workshops. There is a well-stocked library with online legal databases such as Manupatra, SCC online and free internet facility. The library also has a rich collection of periodicals, all national and international magazines, newspapers, books, etc. The college also offers the facility of classrooms, canteen, medical, sports, computer lab, etc.
Programmes
Satpura College For Law, Chhindwara runs undergraduate courses, i.e. Bachelor of Arts & Bachelor of Laws (BA LLB) & Bachelor of Laws (LLB). BA LLB is five years integrated programme & LLB course is two years duration programme.
Law Courses:
- LLB – 3 years
- BA LLB – 5 years
Admission
Students have to pass Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent examination from a recognized board. The student’s age should not be more than 20 years (22 years for SC/ST/PWD students) on the date of admission. Those students want admission into LLB course, they have to complete a Bachelor’s degree examination in any discipline. Students have to secure minimum 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST category).
The student’s age limit should not be more than 30 years (35 years in case of reserved category) on the date of admission. The admission into these courses will be purely based on merit and personal interviews.
