Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Sangrur
Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, (SLIET) Sangrur is a deemed university established in the Longowal city of Sangrur district. The college was established in the year 1989 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development as a tribute given by the Government of India to Sant Harcharan Singh Longowal. The institute was given the deemed university status by the UGC in the year 2007. The SLIET is one of the premier institute of engineering in the Punjab state.

The college is situated in Longowal city of Singrur district in Punjab. The college campus is spread in an area of 451 acres of pollution free and eco-friendly environment. The college is just 8 km from the Chandigarh Bathinda highway and well-connected to Sangrur, Delhi, Chandigarh and Ludhiana by road and just 18 km from the nearest railway station Sangrur.

Placement:
The Training and Placement department of SLIET arranges and coordinates the training and placement related activities. The cell act as an interface between the student and the employment community. The cell also assists different companies in recruiting candidates as per their requirements.
