RVS Agriculture College, Thanjavur

RVS Agriculture College (Self-financing),Thanjavur was started in the academic year 2013-14. The courses offered by the college are affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Agicultural University, Coimbatore and approved by Indian Council of Agriculture & Research.

Campus

It is located 4 kms from Trichy-Thanjavur National Highway (Usilampatti Taluk, via-Sengipatti). The college has an area of 400 acres for the practical training of the degree students and to have crop cafeteria for the benefit of the students. The college has 400 acres of land and has well-established farms including academic buildings, play ground, hostel, dairy, piggery and poultry units, orchard and horticultural crops, agro forestry, wetlands, garden lands.

Facilities

The facilities provided by the college are well-established and maintained. It has individual laboratories according to departments, a computer lab for museum cum display lab, studio and display lab workshop, etc. It has also a library with text books, hand books/Govt. publication, reference book and many other related books.

Programmes

The RVS Agriculture College offers Bachelor degree in agriculture. The agriculture courses are revised by TNAU. It offers the four years of Bachelor in agriculture with maximum intake capacity. The agriculture course offered by the college is:

Placement

Since the inception of the college, the training & placement cell is established by the college for students. Many students are selected through the campus interview by various companies. Many students from the department of agriculture are working right now in most of the reputed companies.
