Rishikul State Ayurvedic College, Haridwar
Rishikul State Ayurvedic College, Haridwar is the reputed government institution of Ayurveda founded in the year 1919. The institution was established by the Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya. Previously, the college is the unit of Rishikul Brahamcharya Ashram Haridwar founded in 1906. The institution has the affiliation from Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Central University, Srinagar and approved by the Central Council of indian medicine (CCIM), New Delhi.
Campus
The huge infrastructure of Rishikul State Ayurvedic College, Haridwar is constructed over 25 acres of land and located in Devpura, Haridwar district of Uttarakhand. The college is 1 km away from the railway station and situated near the bank of Ganga river.
Facilities
The hospital facility is also available in the campus that provides medical as well as teaching facility to the students. Here, the students get the practical experience and learning. The residential facilities is also offered by the college. There are 3 girls hostels, 3 boys hostels and one hostel for postgraduate students. Also, the residential colony is there for staff members. The other facilities include laboratory, canteen, mess, cafeteria, etc.
Programmes
Currently, the college provides the medical education in Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) in Ayurvedacharya. It is the 4.5 year programme with 1-year of internship. The degree is awarded to the candidates who have successfully completed their course. The institution also runs Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Ayurveda. It is a 3-year course. The admission to these courses will be provided through the entrance test known as UPMT. The college offers 60 seats in BAMS and 7 in MD.
