Ramgarhia Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kapurthala

Ramgarhia Institute of Engineering and Technology, RIET Kapurthala is a private aided self financed institute established in the year 2003. The college is located in Kapurthala district of Punjab. The management committee of RIET mainly consists of members of the Ramgarhia Educational Council, Satnampura, NRI’s and various other representatives of the Punjab State and the Centre Government. The RIET is affiliated to Punjab Technical University (PTU) Jalandhar, and approved by all India council for technical education (AICTE) New Delhi and Government of Punjab.

Campus:

The RIET is located at Doaba region in Phagwara city of Kapurthala district. The educational campus of RIET is spread in an area of 30 acres of lush green environment. The college is well-connected by all means of transport, the college is situated at a distance of 1Km from bus and railway station.

Programmes:

The college is offering five courses in undergraduate engineering discipline leading to the degree of B.tech with the total intake capacity of 420 students, and eight courses in a postgraduate engineering discipline with an intake capacity of 172 students. The other courses offered by the college include MBA and MCA.

Facilities:

The college offers facilities like well equipped labs and workshops, spacious and ventilated classrooms, library with a huge collection of books and journals, computer centre with well equipped hardware and software and a high-speed internet connection. The college also provides facility like seminar hall, separate hostel facility for boys and girls, sports facility, mess and canteen facility, medical facility, transportation facility.

Placement:

The college consists of full-fledged Training and Placement department consisting of twelve placement coordinator working under the guidance T&P head Dr. Naveen Dhillon. The department helps the students in their recruitment process. The department arranges campus interviews, pre-placement talks, job listings and training guidance to the final and pre-final year students.

Activities:

The major activities organized in RIET include: dance completion, fresher’s party, farewell party, Quiz Competition, youth festivals, athletic meet.
