R.D.Gardi Medical College, Ujjain

R.D. Gardi Medical College, Ujjain was founded in the year of 2001 and it is managed by the Ujjain Charitable Trust. The college is affiliated to the Vikram University and approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI).

Campus

The campus is situated on the Agar Road, Surasa, Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. The college building comprises of all the Para clinical departments, Pre-clinical and an administrative wing. The college is attached to the Ujjain Charitable Trust Hospital having 400 beds. Another hospital is also running on the college campus with more than 550 beds.

Facilities

All the departments of the college have rooms for faculty, demonstration rooms, various laboratories and museum. There are three lecture theaters with a seating capacity of 180 students each. Other facilities offered by the college are examination hall, medical, classrooms, sports, gym, transport, etc. The library of the college is well-stocked with the books, national and international journals, magazines and newspapers. The college also provides rooms that are attached to the library having full audio-visual support for small seminars and journals are available online. The attached hospital is well-equipped with the therapeutic equipment’s and sophisticated diagnostic. The college also offers separate hostel facilities for both; Girls and Boys.

Programmes

Ruxmaniben Deepchand Gardi Medical College, Ujjain offers 4 ½ years of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with a compulsory internship of 12 months. There are 100 seats available for the MBBS course. 85 seats will be filled through MP DMAT Examination and 15 NRI seats will be filled by the management. Ujjain College of Physiotherapy and Ujjain Institute of Paramedical Sciences runs various courses on the campus of the R. D. Gardi Medical College, Ujjain.
