People’s University, Bhopal
People’s University, Bhopal is a state private university that was established on 4th May 2011 by a Madhya Pradesh Act (No.18 of 2011). The university is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The Constituent colleges of the university are recognized by Dental Council of India (DCI) / Medical Council of India (MCI) / Indian Nursing Council (INC) /PCI/Madhya Pradesh Paramedical Council.
Campus
The campus is located in Bhopal which is also known as “City of Lakes” that is the capital of Madhya Pradesh. The campus is spread over 69.19 acres of area near the National Highway No. 86 in Bhopal. The university has a separate block for administrative and students.
Facilities
The Central Library has a well-stocked collection of text and reference books, magazines, journals, audio/videos, research reports, CD-ROMs and Digital Library etc. in areas of all disciplines such as dental, medical, paramedical, life science, etc. There is an innovative classroom that is well-equipped with the LCD Projector, OHP, Projector Screen, Computer System, Audio system, etc. Other facilities are Stadium, gymnasium, laboratories, IT labs, branch of the Central Bank of India with its ATM, Guest House, Staff Quarters, and sports. The university has centrally air-conditioned auditoriums that are equipped with latest technology and with a fully sound proof set up. There are also a separate hostel facilities for Boys and Girls.
Programmes
People’s College of Medical Sciences & RC that is a constituent college of People’s University offers 4 ½ Yrs + 1 yr Internship Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). There are 150 seats available for the MBBS course. The other constituent college of the University that are People’s College of Dental Sciences & RC and People’s Dental Academy offers 4 Yrs + 1 yr Internship Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS). There are 100 seats available for the BDS programme in both the colleges.
