Patna Law College was established as a government institution in the year of 1909. In 1952, it became a constituent unit of Patna University under the Patna University Act. 1951. This college is affiliated with Patna University and approved by BCI (Bar Council of India). This college was previously affiliated with Calcutta University.
Campus
This college has a sprawling campus located in Rani Ghat, Patna is the capital city of the Bihar state. The campus has the main building which comprises of administrative and student block. The campus is accessible by the all modes of transportation.
Facilities
This college has two hostels to provide residential facilities to its students. Hostel rooms are spacious and fully furnished and equipped with all the general amenities. The library has a rich collection of books, reports, periodicals, etc. It also has subscribed various journals, magazines, newspapers, etc. The classrooms are spacious and well-ventilated and equipped with comfortable seating arrangements. Other facilities are advanced computer centre, transport facility, hygienically maintained canteen, sports facility, medical facility, etc.

Admission
Students who have done graduation in science, arts, commerce, engineering or any other streams are eligible to apply for the LL.B (Three years) course. Students are needed to appear in the entrance test for admission. Admissions will be given strictly on the basis of merit list drawn as per the student’s performance in the entrance test. Students are required to secure at least 33% marks in the entrance test for admission.
