Parala Maharaja Engineering College (PMEC), Berhampur
The Parala Maharaja Engineering College is also known as PMEC it is the first Government engineering college in southern Odisha state. This college is established in the year 2009 and located in Berhampur. The PMEC is affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Campus
The Parala Maharaja Engineering College is situated on the silk City-Berhampur on the eastern coast-line of Odisha. At current, the campus consists of institutional academic block and a workshop block (under construction). The nearest airport is Biju Patnaik Airport, Bhubaneswar and Visakhapatnam International Airport.
Facilities
This college provides hostel facilities for boys of different batches and senior-most girls only (about 350 students). Banking facility, well-equipped department wise labs, medical facility, central workshop, computing lab with internet connectivity, central library (equipped with a collection of text and reference books for the courses listed out by the university) and many other facilities are provided by the college.

The Parala Maharaja Engineering College (PMEC) has a placement cell which is well-equipped with fully computerized and well-furnished air-conditioned room for placement activities. The placement and training cell provides a pre-placement training during their final and pre-final year that includes personality developments and softskills. Many students of this college got placed in IBM, Infosys, TATA, Larsen & Toubro, ZYCUS, First American (India) Private Limited and many other companies.
