Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (QUAT), Bhubaneswar
Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology also known as OUAT, Bhubaneswar was came into existence in 1962. The University is second oldest agricultural university in the country. It is dedicated to agriculture related research, extension and education. The University is affiliated to ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) & UGC and approved by AICTE.
Campus
At present, the university has 8 constituent colleges. The University has separate wings for research, extension services and planning, monitoring and evaluation, etc. QUAT has four academic campuses across Orrisa, One at Bhubaneswar, one at Chiplima, Sambalpur, one at Rangeilunda, Brahmapur, Orrisa and a new one (made in 2009) in Bhawamipatna. The main academic and administrative unit is at Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Orrisa.
Facilities
The University has well-established and modern amenities for the students. The University has a well-stocked, air-conditioned and fully computerized library. The campus has well-equipped laboratories that have been aesthetically designed and arranged with modern equipments. The University has also a numbers of computers distributed over different sections of academic blocks. It has also other facilities like hostel facilities for both boys and girls, own transport facilities for the industrial tours, training, academics and co-curricular activities. It has all necessary facilities in the college campus.
Programmes
The University offers following degrees: agriculture, forestry, horticulture, veterinary science, and engineering, home science, agribusiness management, microbiology, bioinformatics and P.hD in some of the selected branches. The Degree courses offered by the university in agriculture branch are:

Placement
The University has active training & placement cell which concentrates on the student’s practical knowledge and skill development. The University organizes the various programmes for the personality development of the students. The cell also arranges the on-campus & Off-campus placement drives, industrial tours, industry visits, internship in various industries and job fairs. The University also provides the research programs for the student’s ion reputed organizations.
