North Eastern Regional Institute of Management, Guwahatii
North Eastern Regional Institute of Management (NERIM) was established in the year 1992. It is affiliated to Dibrugarh University and is approved by AICTE. The institution is imparting teaching and training to the young educated people in the skill of management. The institution offers various undergraduate progrmmes like BBA, BCA and B.com.and postgraduate programmes like MBA and MCA.
Campus
The institution is currently operating from three premises namely Padma Nath Sarmah Bhawan at Beltola, Parukutty Bhawan at Nabin Nagar and MDRCC at Mangala Nagar, Mangaldoi. The Padma Nath Sarmah Bhawan is situated in an area of 3 acres of land, Parukutty Bhawan has an area of 1/2 acre of land and Mangaldoi Campus is spread over 11 acres of land respectively.
Facilities
The institution provides all the necessary facilities to the students such as library which is enriched with around 30000 books on management, computer science, law and tourism etc. The library has national and international journals, periodicals, online databases etc, separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, a well facilitated computer centre, auditorium, conference room, air-conditioned classrooms and transportation facility etc are provided by the institution.
Programmes
The institution offers course in Master of Business Administration (MBA) which is a two-year full-time course with dual specialization and consists of four semesters of six months duration. In first year students has to study all the compulsory subjects and in second year they have to choose their specialization. MBA course has various specializations. Placement
The Institution provides placement assistance to all the students. This includes internship training and providing job placement to the students who have completed their Masters Programme. The Placement Officer acts as a catalyst in facilitating the process of interaction between the students and the prospective representatives of the Corporate Houses. The placement cell organizes on campus and off campus interviews.
