NKP Salve Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre, Nagpur was started in the year of 1990. The Institution is affiliated to the Maharastra University of Health Sciences, Nashik and approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI), Govt. of India.
Campus
The Institution is located at Digdoh Hills, Hingna Road in the city of Nagpur. The campus is spread over 68 acres of land. The Lata Mangeshkar Hospital is associated with the Institution. The college has separate students blocks and administrative blocks.
Facilities
The Institution has a well-stocked library with a seating capacity of 175 students. The library has a rich collection of text books, national and international journals, periodicals, magazines, monograms and newspapers. There is a separate hostels are available for the boys and girls. The Institution has spacious lecture halls with the modern teaching gadgets. There are also a well-equipped laboratories, genetic lab and research lab, auditorium, canteen, medical, etc. Facilities that are provided by the attached hospital are fully equipped modern operation theatre, ICU, 24 x 7 hours pharmacy services, free facilities for BPL patient, etc.
Programmes
NKP Salve Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre, Nagpur provides Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). There are total 100 seats available for the MBBS programme out of which 85% seats will be filled by the way of common entrance test that is organized by AMUPMDC, Mumbai and 15% seats will be filled by NRI / sponsored candidates. Candidates who qualified their HSC in science stream (PCB) with 50% (Open category) & 40% (Reserved category) are eligible to get admission in the MBBS programme.
