National Institute of Technology, Uttarakhand
National Institute of Technology (NIT) has been established in the year 2009 under the 11th five year plan by the government of India. The Institution is fully funded by the government of India. The NIT is one of the newly sanctioned Institutions of National Importance. The NIT has been awarded as the status of the Deemed University by the Ministry of HRD and UGC. The institution is authorized to award the degrees.
Campus:
The NIT is carrying out the all activities in the Srinagar Government Polytechnic College campus as the temporary location. The campus is situated in the centre of the town Srinagar in District Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. The campus is very close to the NH-58 at 130 km away from the Haridwar Railway Station and 125 km from the Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun.
Programmes:

Students, Faculty & Staff:
The NIT has 300 seats as the annual intake capacity of all programmes. The institution has 47 faculty members and 18 non-teaching staff from all departments.
Facilities:
The NIT campus has medical facility, wi-fi internet, LCD projectors, DG set, round the clock security, well-equipped laboratories, spacious classrooms, seminar hall, library, hostels and transportation. The college provides the guest faculties for the students for the best education.
Activities:
The campus organizes the cultural activities like fresher’s night, institute gathering and departmental gathering. The campus organizes the sports, hobby and extracurricular activities.
