National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra
National Institute of Technology (NIT) was established in the year 1963 as Regional Engineering College (A Joint Enterprise of State Govt. of Haryana and Govt. of India). The institution was declared as the Deemed University Status in 2002 by the UGC and renamed as the present “National Institute of Technology”. The NIT is approved by the MHRD, Govt. of India. the NIT has been recognized as the Institute of National Importance.
Campus:
The NIT campus is situated in the heart of the city, Kurukshetra adjacent to the Kurukshetra University. The NIT campus is 5 km away from the Kurukshetra Railway Station and 10 km from the Pipli Road Junction. The NIT campus extends across the 300 acres of land.
Programmes:
The NIT campus is conducting the graduate, post-graduate and doctoral degree courses in various disciplines of engineering, management, computer application and applied science. Read More >>
Students & Faculty:
The NIT offers more than 1250 seats for annual admission in all departments. All departments are equipped with the 200 faculty members out of which around 160 members are the PhD holders.
Facilities:
The NIT campus is housed in hostels, residential building for staff, sports area, institutional building, admin building, medical centre, post office, SBI branch, store, central workshop, library and computer centre.
Activities:
The NIT campus conducts around 11 technical societies, 5 cultural clubs and confluence. The NIT organizes the Techspardha and three annual events.
Placement:
