National Institute of Science & Technology (NIST), Berhampur

National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) is a private engineering college located in Brahmapur city of Odhisa. The colleges was established in the year 1996 by few NRI’s and operated under SM Charitable Educational Trust. The main motive of the trust is to encourage higher education and impart quality technical education among the students of Odhisa. NIST is affiliated to BPUT and approved by AICTE.

Campus:

NIST is located in Palaur Hills at a distance 12km from Brahmapur city of Odhisa. The city is well connected  to all other districts by road and railway transport. The college campus has five main buildings and comprises of all major facilities.

Programs:

NIST, Berhampur is offering various graduate and postgraduate courses in various disciplines of engineering. The courses offered by the college are approved by AICTE and affiliated to BPUT.

Facilities:

NIST offers wide range of facilities to the students, the college has well equipped labs, ventilated classrooms with audio visual facility, computer centre with high speed internet connectivity, sports facility, hostel and canteen facility etc.

Activities:

The students of the college are involved many co-curricular and extracurricular activities organized by the college, some of which include events like Tech Fest, Robotics event, Annual fest etc.

Placement:

The college is has a separate training and placement cell, which  manages all the training and placement related activities. The cell invites various companies for the campus recruitment programmes.
