Narayan Medical College & Hospital, Rohtas

Narayan Medical College & Hospital was came into existence in the year of 2006. This college is affiliated with Veer Kunwar Singh University Ara and approved by MCI (Medical Council of India) and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Campus

The campus is located in scenic surroundings of Jamuhar, Rohtas which is a district of Bihar state. The campus has been constructed over 20 acres of land. The campus comprises of administrative building, hospital building, academic block and residential block.

Facilities

This college houses three hostels within the campus to provide accommodation facilities to students. Hostels are equipped with facilities like mess, common room, guest room, recreation room, study rooms, etc. The library is fully air-conditioned spread over around 1600 sq mts with the seating capacity of 200 students. It also houses an auditorium hall with the seating capacity of 500 students and it is equipped with audio- visual aids and LCD projector. It also offers indoor and outdoor games facility, advanced computer center, laboratories, demonstration rooms, lecture theaters, etc.

Programmes

Narayan Medical College & Hospital offers Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS ) programme which is approved by MCI. It is a four and half-year programme with a one year compulsory rotating internship. For admission in this course, students must have passed HSC or ICSE or CBSE Examination with physics, chemistry, biology and english subjects with the total aggregate of 50% marks for general students and 40% marks for SC/ST students.
