MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology was started in the year 1962 by the Gokula Education Foundation. It is an autonomous and private engineering college. The college is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technoligical University and approved by the AICTE. The campus offers various technical course and all courses are accredited by the NBA. The campus is certified with ISO 9001:2008 certification.

The campus of MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology is situated in the heart of the city Bangaluru and spread over in 25 acres of land. The campus is located between the Bell Road and MS Ramaiah Road on MSR College Road. The campus is very well-connected to airport, railway station and bus terminus.
