Modern Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kurukshetra

Modern Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) has been established in the year 2008 as a private and self-financing institution founded by the Ma Saraswati Educational & Social Welfare Trust. The MIET is accredited by the ISO 9001:2008 certification. The MIET is affiliated to the Kurukshetra University and approved by the State government of Haryana, AICTE and Directorate of Technical Education, Haryana.

Campus:

The MIET campus is sited on the National Highway-1 in Village Mohri at Tehsil Shadabad in District Kurukshetra, Haryana. The campus is 12 km away from the Ambala Cantt , 10 km from Town Shadabad, 54 km from Chandigarh and 31 km from the Kurukshetra City. The MIET campus is spread over in 14.5 acres of land.

Programmes:

The MIET is offering the B.Tech programme in five disciplines and M.Tech programme in two specializations of engineering education and BBA & MBA programmes in management study.

Students & Faculty:

The MIET has more than 63 faculty members from all departments and around 678 seats as the annual intake capacity in all programmes.

Facilities:

The MIET provides the wi-fi campus, internet facility with 6 Mbps, stocked library, A/C lecture halls, seminar halls, six computer labs with DELL & HP systems, cafeteria, sports complex, lawns, separate hostel for boys & girls, conference hall and transportation.

Activities:

The MIET has three societies such as MIET Innovation Cell, MIET Entrepreneurship Cell called “PRAYAS” and Robot Cell called “ROBOTAGS”. The MIET is powered by the Society of Human Resources and Management.

Placement:

The Incubation Cell established under the Placement Department has signed an MOU with UTBS for internship programme of the students. The Placement & Training Cell conducts the development programme on resume & interview skills and provides the job placement.
