Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi

Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi is affiliated to University of Delhi and was formed in the year 1956. The college is approved by Medical Council of India (MCI). The college imparts education, training and research in the medical field.

Campus

The institution is situated on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, New Delhi. The institution is spread in an area of 122 acres of land. The Institution has a globally marked infrastructure that is beautifully designed with the administrative and student blocks. The campus is equipped with all the latest facilities.

There are four institutes which are attached to the college, Lok Nayak Hospital, GB Pant Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research, Maulana Azad Institute of Dental sciences and Guru Nanak Eye Center.

Facilities

The institution has a library which has a total collection of books covering different discipline, several reputed Indian and foreign journals online databases, magazines, newspapers and periodicals, it has well adequate classrooms with modern teaching and training aids like laptop, overhead projector and LCD projector, a well-facilitated computer centre. The institution provides wi-fi facility. It provides separate residential facilities for boys and girls along with the mess facility.  It has an auditorium and conference hall for various cultural events. Beside these the institution provides various other recreational facilities like sports facility, cafeteria etc.

Programmes

Maulana Azad Medical College offers courses in medical specialties at the undergraduate, post-graduate, and at the post doctoral levels. The institution offers undergraduate programme in Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and postgraduate programme in MD and MS.
