Mandya Institute of Medical Science, Bangalore

Mandya Institute of Medical Science was established in the year 2006. The institution imparts undergraduate and postgraduate course in various medical specialties and super-speculates. The institution is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and approved by Medical Council of India, New Delhi.

Campus

The institution is spread in an area of 25 acres of land and is located on the State Highway No. 17 (Bengaluru – Mysore road) at 90 Kilometers from Bengaluru.

Facilities

Various necessary facilities are provided by the institution such as air-conditioned classrooms equipped with modern teaching aids like LCD, OHP and laptop. The institution houses an air-conditioned library which is stocked with books, journals, reports and magazines. The institution has a conference hall to organize seminars, presentations, guest lectures and many other activities. The institution has a well facilitated computer centre. It provides separate residential facilities for boys and girls along with the mess facility. Besides these various other recreational facilities are also provided like cafeteria, sports facility etc.

Programmes

Mandya Institute of Medical Science imparts undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the medical field. The institution imparts undergraduate course in Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) and postgraduate course in Doctor of Medicine (MD). The duration of the MBBS course is five and a half years with the compulsory rotational internship training of one year while the duration of the MD course is three years.
