Madhusudan Institute of Co-operative Management, Bhubaneswar
The Madhusudan Institute of Co-operative Management (MICM) is one of the premier management institute of the state. It was established in the year 1955. The institution is functioning under the aegis of National Council for Co-operative Training (NCCT), New Delhi, and is being financed by the Ministry of Agriculture, (Department of Co-operation) Government of India. The institution is approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT).
Campus
The institution is located in Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Orissa. It has its own sprawling campus and is located at Unit-8 Bhubaneswar. The Bhubaneswar airport, railway station, main bus stand, hospital, post office are located about a distance of 4-8km. from the institute.
Facilities
The institution provides all the necessary facilities to the students such as separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, staff quarters, library with a collection of books, periodicals, online databases and journals, air-conditioned classrooms, auditorium, a well facilitated computer centre, conference room and other recreational facilities like cafeteria, sports facility are also provided.
Programmes
The college offers MBA (Master in Business Programme) in management. The degree of MBA is equivalent to the degree of PGDM. The duration of the course is two years with a compulsory internship project.
Placement
The institution has a training and placement cell which is headed by the placement officer. The placement cell arranges for internship projects of the students, the cell arranges for industrial tour, organizes seminars, workshops and conferences. Besides this the placement cell also conduct personality development programmes for the students like preparing students for group discussion (GD) and interview etc.
