Kumaraguru Institute of Agriculture (KIA), Erode

Kumaraguru Institute of Agriculture (KIA), Erode was started by Dr. N. Mahalingam in September 2014. It is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore and approved by ICAR, New Delhi. The main aim of the institution is to imparting agricultural education to rural youth.

Campus

Kumaraguru Institute of Agriculture (KIA) is located just 5 Km away from railway station. The campus of the institution is free from all type of pollution. It is well-equipped with all major facilities and sophisticated laboratories, well-stocked libraries and dedicated staff. It has highly qualified, well exposed & experienced teachers.

Facilities

The college has all facilities with necessary instruments in the laboratories. The college has spacious, well-equipped and well-maintained laboratories for different branches of agriculture. The institute has departmental laboratories with all latest technology. There are other facilities like analytical instrument room, computer room, classrooms, hostel, canteen and transportation facilities.

The institution has departments such as crop management, crop improvement, crop protection, horticulture, agriculture engineering and veterinary science. Placement

The placement cell guides the students in training and placements process for choosing right profession. The Placement cell of the institution organizes on-campus interviews. To help students with the placement process, the institution has a Training cell which co-ordinates with the students so as to enable them to get training in the best of industries.
