Khalsa College Patiala
The General Shivdev Singh Diwan Gurbachan Singh Khalsa College, Patiala was founded in 1960. Presently the institution is running programmes in Humanities, Sciences, Computer Science, Agriculture, Commerce and Management. The college is successfully running 16 Postgraduate and 29 Undergraduate programmes. The college is affiliated to PTU, Jalandhar and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Campus
The college has 20.5 acres of urban land at Badungar Road Patiala and 18.5 acres of land at village Dhablan. The campus is home to 6119 students and 194 faculty members and an efficient team of support staff. The infrastructure of the college campus is well-maintained and established. It has rich stocked library, advanced technology labs, 6 storied administrative block and a hostel of 300 seats for the girls. It also has a 20 acres of the Agriculture farm.
Facilities
The college provides various activities in the campus. Every year it conducts the sports competition between the students of different departments. It also organizes the seminars and group discussion programs for the development of the students personality and confidence. It has a training & placement cell for the students. There are many other facilities for the students like banking facility, all time power backup, health services, co-curricular activities, etc.

Placement
The career guidance, counseling and placement cell is established by the college for the students. The centre functions with the primary objective of making students employable, and then focusing on getting them placed in reputed companies and organizations. To impart employability skills to the students, the centre is engaged in training them regularly on various modules that make them enter and then adapt to the organizations. The most visited companies in the campus are Genpact, Infosys, IBM, Wipro and many other organizations related to the field of Agriculture.
