K.N.H. Medical College and Hospital, Bhagalpur
Kirti Nath Hahnemannian Medical College & Hospitals, Bhagalpur was established on the 10th April 1946. It was formed by Dr.S.N.S. Capore a social workers, an eminent Homoeopathic educationist, and a well know Homoeopathic physician of Bihar. The college is affiliated to Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University and approved by the Central Council of Homoeopathy, New Delhi. It is recognized by Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health Family Welfare, Govt. of India, New Delhi.
Campus
The campus of the K.N.H. Medical College and Hospital is spread over 12 acres of land. It is situated in the VIP area of the Bhagalpur Municipal Corporation that is near to the District Magistrate’s bungalow at Bihar. The college campus is well-linked with a transportation facility.
Facilities
The college has six classrooms with centralized audio-visual department/section. There is a spacious library with well-stocked texts and material on a wide variety of subjects that includes Homoeopathy, subjects related to medicine and allied medical subject. The library also has a wide collection of national and international journals, books, magazines, newspaper and periodicals. Other facilities that are offered by the college are well-equipped laboratories, well-set audio-visual lab and computer lab. There is a separate furnished residential accommodation for Boys and Girls with all comforts facility.
Programmes
K.N.H. Medical College and Hospital, Bhagalpur offers 4 ½ years full-time BHMS (Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine Surgery) degree course. After passing final BHMS, one year compulsory internship will be provided by the college in the college hospitals. To get admission in this course candidate have to qualify the I.Sc./Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or an equivalent examination with PCB (including practical) separately.
Medical Courses:
The 4 ½ years Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine Surgery course is divided as follows:
- 1st BHMS: 18 months
- 2nd BHMS: 12 months
- 3rd BHMS: 12 months
- 4th BHMS: 12 months
