Jyotirmoy School of Law, Kolkata was established in the year of 2008. The school is run by the Jyotirmoy Education & Welfare Foundation. This school is affiliated to the University of Calcutta, Kolkata & all law courses are approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi.
Campus
The college is situated in the Jyotirmoy Knowledge Park, Kalikapur, Sonarpur, Kolkata. The college campus is well-linked with the road & rail transportation. Sealdah Railway Station is the nearest railway station that is located 1 km away from college campus.
Facilities
There is a moot court room to test the student’s advocacy skills, holding mock trials & participating in oral argument. The college conducts visits to the High Court, District Court & Supreme Court for live performance. There is also a facility of seminar hall, medical, canteen, indoor & outdoor sports, computer labs, etc. The college has a separate hostel facilities for boys & girls. The library is well-equipped with the rich collection of national & international journals, books, periodicals, reports & projects related to the Law.

Admission
Student’s age should not be more than 20 years for general category, 22 years for SC/ST Category & 25 years for OBC category on the 1st June of the admission year. Students have to qualify their 10+2 or equivalent examination from the recognized board. They have to obtain at least 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST/PH category) in best four subjects. The admission into BA LLB course will be based on the entrance test managed by the University of Calcutta.
