Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering, Shimoga
Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering was established in the year 1980 by the National Education Society situated in the Karnataka. The college is recognized by the government of Karnataka as a private and self-financed institution. The college is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University and approved by the AICTE. The campus is accredited by the NBA.
Campus
The campus of Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering is sprawling over in more than 50 acres of land 0n 10-15 km east from the Shimoga city centre. The campus is situated on state highway – 57 (Shimoga – Keshavanagar via Savalanga) at Nevule in Shivamogga (Shimoga) the district of Karnataka. The campus is located in the outskirt of the city and well-connected by the roads.
Facilities
The campus has an amphitheater, Indoor and Outdoor sports facility, Bank and Post Office, co-operative society, Gymnasium, canteen, ATM facility besides the all academic facilities like laboratories, workshop, spacious classrooms, library and transportation. The campus is divided in various blocks and departments. The campus has separate building for providing the accommodation facility to the students and the guest faculty.
