Jai Prakash Vishwavidyalaya is a public university established in the year of 1990. This university is approved by University Grants Commission (UGC). All the law courses offered by this university are approved by BCI (Bar Council of India). This university comprises of 21 constituent colleges, 11 affiliated colleges and 23 proposed colleges.
Campus
This university has a sprawling campus located at Rahul Sankrityan Nagar, Chapra, Saran. Saran is the district of the Bihar state. The campus has been spread over 242 acres of land. Chapra is well-connected to all the major cities through road and rail transport.

Admission
Students who have passed the graduation degree in any stream can apply for admission in three-year degree law course. Candidates must have obtained at least 40% marks in the qualifying examination. Admissions in law programme will be given as per the rules and regulations set by the admission authorities.
