The MGCGV was established on February 1991 by Social activist Nanaji Deshmukh. The MGCGV University aims to provide higher education to the youths living in rural areas. The university is dedicated for teaching, learning and research. MGCGV University is approved by UGC.

Campus

The University campus is located on the bank of River Mandakni near Sphatikshila at Chitrakoot. The campus is situated in rural area. We can reach university campus by air, the nearest airport is Allahabad (135 kms), Khajuraho( 175 kms) and Varanasi (275 kms) from Chitrakoot or by travelling a short distance via train or road.

Facilities

The university provides a wide verity of facilities to their students for all round personality development and conveniences. The facilities at MGCGV include Hostels, well equipped Library, Computer Center (with 300 computers with need based updated software, computer hardware lab), Electronic Library, Agriculture Research Farm, Laboratories, Scholarships / Fellowships, Distance mode of education, Health facilities, Workshops, 24hr Wi-Fi availability, Gymnasium, Internet facility for all the students is also available
